Publication Year :
2004

Abstract

A test run of Crown Fountain's reservoir to check for leaks before the smooth, granite tiles were installed. In the completed fountain, the black granite tiles of the reflecting pool are held in place 1/4 of an inch below the surface of a reservoir of water that is nearly 2 feet deep. The north tower of Crown Fountain has been fitted with all but the last LED panel which will go behind the "gargoyle" nozzle. In the background the structural steel for Cloud Gate is visible.
