A man in the center holds up a burning slip of paper.<br />"LOS ANGELES: Actor Sterling Hayden's 19-year-old-son, Christian Hayden (center, glasses), holds up his burning induction papers March 5th after he openly defied U.S. Selective Service laws by refusing induction into the armed forces. Christian Hayden was joined in his action by 25-year-old teaching assistant Joe Maizlish and both were cheered by a large crowd of demonstrators. The sign at left quotes Maizlish."
