Abstract
- Odpověď organizátorů na článek Názory účastníků konference „Naše společná přítomnost“<br />The paper discusses the role of science in social processes tending towards sustainability, with respect notably to its possibility of reflection and critical distance from the (emotionally/ethically) experienced reality. It also shows, however, that combining rigorous science and live environmental issues within a Philosophical Faculty is not at all something granted, because the environment is not – with few exceptions – the object of interest of humanity scholars. The critical attitude to the topic – already demonstrated in the previous polemic – has thus shown another of its dimensions that opens up new possibilities for dialogue.
