Abstract

Photograph of the remains of the Daily News, the first paper publications in San Francisco, after the earthquake, 1906. Pieces of machinery are scattered across the grass in the foreground while a large tent stands at center. Three men in suits and hats stand outside the tent while one man manipulates a large apparatus beneath the tent. This appears to be where the Daily News is printing their paper after their building fell in the earthquake. The city can be seen in the distance.
