Abstract

Photograph of a birdseye view of Los Angeles, looking east from the Crocker Mansion on Third Street and Olive Avenue, ca.1890. The brick foundation, porch and balcony of a large residential building are partially visible on the crest of a hill to the left, with a view of the city extending below. Several church spires are visible to the right over the houses which give way from the right distance to the high rises at the left where a large body of water (possibly Mac Arthur Park) can be seen.; Originally, the image was captioned as "Birdseye view of Los Angeles, looking east from the Crocker Mansion on Third Street and Grand Avenue, ca.1890".
