Abstract
- Photograph of workers making books at the Universal Braille Press, ca.1933. The photo displays a general view of the plant, with workers doing an assortment of tasks. At right, two women sit at separate printing presses. Behind them, several men tinker with larger pieces of machinery. Across from this scene, several people stand amidst stacks of thick book paper. The background is composed of parceled paper in stacks on lines of shelves, and even more workers stand before a set of windows from a wall at the back.
