Abstract

We present results from a study that used a non-intrusive diagnostic for mixing, species concentration, optical gain, and spatial beam profile for HF chemical lasers. The instrument is based on hyperspectral imaging using a low order Fabry-Perot interferometer. The basic theory behind this technology is described and several applications to a chemically reacting flow field are presented. We also discuss application of this device to a subsonic HF chemical laser.<br />Presented at the Proceedings of the AIAA Plasmadynamics and Lasers Conference (33rd), Maui, HI, May 2002.
