Abstract

This document attempts to provide accurate and timely data and information concerning methods, techniques, and equipment in the handling of hypergolic propellants. The information could be used to provide data necessary for the generation of Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) design criteria for support of an orbiting-type vehicle. Included are: problems encountered in the handling of hypergolic propellants, propellant characteristics and associated hazard and health problems, identification of equipment used in handling propellants, specification of propellant handling methods, and determination of training requirements and equipment.
