Abstract

Culex (Melanoconion) invocator Pazos, originally described from Cuba, is resurrected from the synonymy of Cx. (Mel.) erraticus (Dyar and Knab). The adult male (including the genitalia) and presumptive female of this species are described. The characteristic male genitalia of invocator and erraticus are illustrated for comparison.<br />Published in Mosquito Systematics, v10 n2 p239-245, 1978.
