Abstract
- The design advantages resulting from the linear demagnetization curves of rare-earth permanent magnets are discussed. The magnetic analogue to Ohm's law is derived and its affiliation illustrated by an example. Other aspects of design, such as the replacement of magnetic circuits with equivalent pole densities and the significance of the energy product, are also discussed. (Author)
