This document is the Computer Subprogram Design Document (CSDD) for the Partitioned Interface Equipment (PIE) Assembler Subprogram (PAS). The PAS consists of software to accomplish the following functions: Perform conversion of statements written PIE mnemonic language into PIE executable machine code; provide object program output on paper tape; print program and assembled code listings; and, provide diagnostic output to help isolate programmer syntax and logic errors.
