Analysis of Underwater Acoustic Propagation Loss Math Models in Current Training Devices

The report analyzes and compares the various simulation designs and math models of underwater acoustic simulation presently being used in current training devices developed by the Naval Training Device Center. The analysis contains model simplifications and their affects on acoustic propagation loss. The results of these models are compared with the results of the ray trace model developed by the Naval Air Development Center.
