Abstract

One of a series of mathematical studies of ablative materials. The Memorandum is an investigation of the thermodynamics of teflon over a range of temperature up to 6000 K and pressure up to 100,000 atmospheres. Two sets of equilibrium composition equations are employed: one representing a pure gas phase; the other, a heterogenous system of gas and solid carbon. Results of the computational program are presented in both tabular and graphic form. (Author)
