Abstract

The maxillofacial patient can experience the anatomic complexity of the midface and nearly endless potential for surgical or traumatic defects size, shape and location characteristics of and treatment consideration for maxillary defects present an unlimited variety of possible configurations. Defects are frequently associated with problems that result from lack of retention and stability. This case report is of the rehabilitation of a compromised Armany class I maxillectomy defect with a definitive hollow bulb obturator.
