Abstract

The aim of the study is to describe formal process of performance appraisal activity in teams after systemizing results of analysis of scientific literature. This work consists of these major parts: the introduction, the theoretical aspects of performance appraisal activity, the theoretical analysis of performance appraisal activity in teams, the outlines of suggested performance appraisal process in teams and the conclusions. Analysis of management literature on performance appraisal as the object of research is presented in the first part of the thesis. This part offers detailed description of performance appraisal activity and main factors of successful appraisal: appraisal system which consist of appraisal criteria, scale and method; and organization of appraisal process defined by appraisal goals, appraisal frequency, appraisers and appraisal interview. In the second part there is analyzed management literature of performance appraisal execution in teams. The main team and team member appraisal problems have been disclosed and evaluated too. In the third part of the thesis there is offered formal performance appraisal process for teams and team members. The process consists of 3 stages: 1.
