Abstract

The Emigration Canyon history photograph collection contains images of cabins, hotels, railroads, and early pioneers and ranchers in Emigration Canyon. The first folder is dedicated to the Pinecrest Inn and its' construction. The majority of the images in folder two depict quarries and the Emigration Canyon Railroad; folder three contains images of primary and secondary residences and occupants. Folder four contains images of businesses located in Emigration Canyon, including Wagener Brewery and Ruth's Diner, as well as photos of historical canyon sites. The remaining folders contain a variety of images ranging from 18th century residences to new land development. The majority of the images were labeled and the descriptions found below were taken from the original photographs. When no identification was available, the descriptions are listed as follows: [____].<br />The collection was kept in the original order in which it was received.
