Abstract
- This collection contains a wide variety of photographs relating to polygamy, Mormonism, and the issue of Utah's admittance to the United States. The collection consists of individual and group portraits, informal group photographs, images of headstones, and copy prints of two letters.<br />Collection is arranged topically.; Portraits; Polygamous Families; Headstones and Letters; 1-2 unidentified men (neg. only); 3 Alex F. MacDonald (neg. only); 4 unidentified man; 5 Pearl Udell?; 6-8 unidentified man (from Washington Times negative? 1.2.1); 1 unidentified people pictured on the Washington Times (neg. only); 2 unidentified couple (neg. only); 3 "Life among the Mormons C the new wife"; 4 "lonzo Taylor and Kate Spilsbury in Mexico on a trip with party to Mexico City. Party included Abraham O. Woodruff and wife Helen. When Helen became ill with smallpox, Kate helped tend her baby. And when Apostle Woodruff became ill with the same, Taylor escorted him to El Paso and took care of him en route.
