Abstract

View of the William G. Fisher House / International House (1896; Frank E. Edbrooke and Willis A. Marean, architects) at 1600 Logan Street in the North Capitol Hill neighborhood of Denver, Colorado. Shows the front (west) elevation of a three-story Neoclassical-style building with a flat roof, stone block walls, and stone arches, cornices, and stringcourses. The distinctive two-story, semicircular entry portico is supported by two pilasters and two Ionic columns with large volutes. The portico is topped by a balustraded balcony. Stone lions are crouched along the entry steps. In 1997 architect David Owen Tryba restored and rehabilitated the mansion for use as his studio and private residence.
