Abstract

View of 1627 (Elite Liquors) and 1633 (Ginn Mill Bar in the Brandenburg Building) Larimer Street in the Union Station neighborhood of Denver, Colorado. The building at 1627 Larimer Street, is a two-story brick commercial structure (constructed c. 1880) with a parapet, an ornate partial cornice, and elaborate finials. The building is painted white. The Brandenburg Building at 1633 Larimer Street, is a three-story, nineteenth-century commercial structure with a stone and cast iron facade. It has Italianate influences including a bracketed cornice with corner finials, a pediment with brackets, and elongated windows. An inscription on the building reads: "Brandenburg." Denver Urban Renewal demolished both buildings in 1972.
