The centennial history of Oconto County
-
Abstract
- A history of events in Oconto County, Wisconsin, up to 1870, prepared from the author's personal recollections. There are brief sketches of Menominee Indians, missionaries, and early fur traders, records of the beginnings of settlements, and considerable detail on the development of the lumber industry. Though partially published in the Oconto Reporter in 1976, the history was never completed.
