Abstract

This flag served as the national colors of the 66th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. The flag has thirty-three silver stars outlined in red still intact on a blue canton (due to deterioration some stars have been lost). The stars are arranged in a rectilinear pattern. The flag's thirteen alternating red and white stripes are pieced. Text in the flag's middle red stripe reads: "66TH REGT OVI ... ". Some of the text is no longer legible or intact due to deterioration. The flag has portions of gold fringe remaining on its top, right, and bottom sides
