Abstract

Outline hand colored map of upper Austria on 12 sheets 186x 220, each 62x55, dissected into 6 sections and mounted on linen, each with a label pasted to the linen backing. Sheets fold inside their original marbled paper half leather slipcase 28x22 with title "Oesterreich ob der Enns" on the spine in gold. Engraved by Carl Schutz and Franz Muller in Vienna Engineering Academy. With decorative title cartouche shows in the foreground selected products that symbolize the wealth of the country, and in the background a picturesque Danube Landscape, and legend carthouche with outline map of regions (viertel). Title printed on the 9th sheet and legend on the 12th. sheet. Map is a topographic view of the country, shows administrative divisions, cities, towns, landmarks, roads, rivers, mountains, forests, etc. Some places have hand colored red mark. Relief shown pictorially.
