Abstract
- Patients with congestive heart failure who are taking digoxin should have the dose adjusted to produce a blood level between 0.5 and 0.8 nanograms per milliliter. Blood levels higher than that may increase their risk of death, according to a study of 3,782 patients. All of the men in the study had a left ventricular ejection fraction of 45% or less.
