Proximity of cytoplasmic and periplasmic loops in NhaA Na (super)+/H (super)+ antiporter of Escherichia coli as determined by site-directed thiol cross-linking

Research has been conducted on cytoplasmic and periplasmic Na (super)+/H (super)+ antiporter loops. The proximity between pair of Cys replacements in these loops has been investigated and the results indicate that the N-terminus and loop VIII-IX are in proximity within Na (super)+/H (super)+ antiporter protein.
