Synthesis of a new water-soluble C (sub)2 -symmetric chiral diamine: preliminary investigation of its catalytic properties for asymmetric hydrogenation under biphasic conditions

Research has been conducted on the N,N'-dimethyl-1,2-diphenylethane-1,2-diamine. The preparation of the water-soluble version of this compound via the phosphonic acid moiety introduction on the aromatic ring para position is described.
