Abstract: Research has been conducted on epidermal growth factor and epidermal growth factor receptor. The crystal structure of the human epidermal growth factor and epidermal growth factor receptor extracellular region complex has been determined and the receptor-mediated dimerization has been investigated via the use of epidermal growth factor receptor mutagenesis.
