Abstract

Hyperbaric oxygen may be beneficial for patients with carbon monoxide poisoning, according to a study of 228 patients. Hyperbaric oxygen is oxygen that is delivered under high pressure. Three treatments within 24 hours can reduce the risk of intellectual deficits caused by carbon monoxide.
