Apparent loss-of-function mutant GPCRs revealed as constitutively desensitized receptors

Research has been conducted on the arginine substitutions in the DRY motif (aspartic acid, arginine and tyrosine). The effect of these substitutions in alpha (sub)1B -adrenergic receptors and angiotensin II type 1A receptors on their localization, signaling and desensitization has been studied and the results are presented.
