Abstract

This paper reports on a general approach for the time-domain simulation of electromagnetic wave propagation in frequency-dependent nonlinear dielectric materials using transmission-line modeling (TLM). The computational schemes are formulated in detail and results are presented for three classes of nonlinear dielectric materials. Index Terms--Frequency-dependent materials, nonlinear dielectrics, time-domain electromagnetics, transmission-line modeling (TLM).
