Abstract

Research demonstrates that the enzymes encoded by the tfd genes are essential for the growth of Ralstonia eutropha JMP134 growing on 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetate as well as for the transformation of chlorocatechols into 3-oxoadipate. The enzymes are isolated and biochemically characterized.
