Abstract

Research in an outpatient setting indicates that 10 mg of olanzapine is effective in fostering weight gain among anorexic patients who do not exhibit symptoms of bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, or schizophrenia. Most patients achieved an average weight gain of over 8 lbs.
