Abstract

Superconducting low-beta quadrupole magnets for the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) are being developed at KEK (the High Energy Accelerator Research Organization, Tsukuba, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan) in a cooperative effort with CERN. Behavior of a prototype model is discussed.
