Abstract
- The article supports an inclusive approach to reconciling different interpretive viewpoints concerning social status among early peoples at Paso de la Amada, Mexico. Research on artifacts and architecture at the site have yielded evidence both for and against significant social inequalities. The authors suggest this is the result of a society in transition.
