Abstract

A variety of tribology devices are assessed for accuracy in measuring friction on various surfaces, for the prevention of occupational slip-and-fall accidents. Devices include the horizontal pull slipmeter, the portable articulated strut tribometer, the portable friction tester, the low velocity skidmeter, the floor slide control and the variable incidence tribometer.
