Abstract
- This article examines the effects of high altitude on body composition by investigating anthropometric and body composition variables of adult males in the Peruvian Andes. The Quechua subjects are shorter in relation to body weight and have lower presence of adiposity than do other ethnicities in the region, due to stresses of the high altitude environment.
