Abstract: Research into the factors linked with the diagnostic outcome of obese patients with and without binge eating disorder 12 months after finishing a very low calorie diet regime is presented. It was found that 56% of the binge eating disorder patients did not meet the binge eating criteria 12 months after taking part in the very low calorie diet regime.
