Abstract
- Research reveals that delta-gluconolactone is anaerobically metabolized initially to glucose, which is mediated by the NADPH-linked glucose dehydrogenase. This is followed by glycolysis and the pentose phosphate pathway, the primary dissimilatory pathway for delta-gluconolactone metabolism in Saccharomyces bulderi.
