Abstract: Research describes the synthesis of polymeric/oligomeric and macrocyclic (salophen)Ni(II) complexes from both an achiral biphenol dialdehyde and BINOL dialdehyde. data indicate that these polysalophenes exhibit paramagnetic nonpolar Ni(II) coordination.
