Abstract
- Cosmological implications from observations of type IA supernovae (SNe Ia) are discussed. New values for cosmological parameters seem to have given a solution to the long-standing proglem of the dynamical age of the universe. However, the size of the acceleration, seen as a cosmological constant, clearly contradicts particle theory predictions. Matter density and the cosmological constant are equal contributors to cosmic expansion at this time, a very privileged period.
