Abstract

This article provides a comprehensive overview of pediatric nursing's history, from its origins in the 1600s to the present day. It explores the development of pediatric nursing education, the introduction of family-centered care, the rise of pediatric-specific training programs, and the challenges faced by today's nurse educators. Emphasizing the importance of experiential learning and culturally competent education, this article highlights the ongoing need to prepare nurses for the complex and dynamic field of pediatric care.
