SNARE complex oligomerization by synaphin/complexin is essential for synaptic vesicle exocytosis

Abstract: Research has been conducted on the cytosolic protein synaphin/complexin binding to syntaxin within the syntaxin and synapto-some-associated protein receptor (SNARE) complex. Results indicate that the synaphin promotes SNAREs to form pre-complexes which oligomerize into higher order structures.
