Abstract: This article explores the 'ziarah', a pilgrimage to a holy site in Indonesia, with a focus on the significance of Tembayat, Java. The author provides information regarding the proper techniques of conducting a successful 'ziarah', such as managing the timing, and maintains the Tembayat site reflects the co-existence of Islam with Javanese mysticism and folklore.
