2,6-bis(diphenylphosphino)pyridine-bridged hetero-polynuclear complexes consolidated by Fe(results in)M (M=Ag, Hg) dative bonding

Research has been conducted on the bridging phosphine ligand 2,6-bis(diphenylphosphino)pyridine (L). The use of this ligand in the synthesis of the neutral organometallic ligand {Fe(CO) (sub)4} (sub)2 (mu-L) has been carried out and the results exhibit eclipsed and staggered conformations in the crystalline forms.
