Abstract
- Research has been conducted on the oxidative damage of DNA by metal complexes. Results indicate that a platinum complex with the high reduction potential oxidizes such compounds as guanine in guanosine-5'-monophosphate and a douple-stranded oligonucleotide to 8-oxo-guanine.
