Abstract: Research has been conducted on the Z-2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazone of 5-amino-3-benzoyl-1,2,4-oxadiazole. The synthesis of this compound has been carried out and its rearrangement in dioxane and water has been quantitatively examined in a wide reactivity range.
