Abstract: Research has been conducted on the iron(III) porphyrin complexes with weak axial ligands. Results indicate that bis(tetrahydrofuran)(2,7,12,17-tetrapropylporphycenato)iron(III) perchlorate is a pure intermediate spin complex, and the results of the Mossbauer spectroscopy, (super)1 H NMR, EPR and SQUID magnetometry are presented.
