Positive giant magnetoresistance in ferrimagnetic/Cu/ferrimagnetic films

It has been possible to produce ferrimagnetic spin valves with the magnetization perpendicular to the film planes. For samples made up of both transition-metal-rich (or both rare-earth-rich) TbFeCo and GdFeCo, negative giant magnetoresistance values were gained.
