Trp-676 facilitates nicotinamide coenzyme exchange in the reductive half-reaction of human cytochrome P450 reductase: properties of the soluble W676H and W676A mutant reductases

Research reveals that both W676H and W676A, mutant forms of human cytochrome P450 reductases, mediate nicotinamide exchange during the reductive half-reaction of the reductase. The mutant enzymes contain histidine and alanine at the position of Trp-676 of the wild cytochrome P450 reductase.
