Most Canadians favour road testing of elderly drivers

Abstract

A Gallup survey performed Apr 18-24, 2001, revealed that 84% of Canadians believe elderly drivers should be required to undergo mandatory driving tests. Of those polled, 39% support mandatory road tests at 65 years of age; respondents aged 18 to 29 were most supportive of road testing, with 92% favoring such tests.
