Abstract

Research reveals that yeast revertants of glc-7-1 mutants, defective in glycogen metabolism, are deficient in a glycogen synthase major isoform. However, these revertants show increased enzyme activity, which suppresses the glc7-1 mutation. Data indicate that mutation is in the phosphorylated COOH terminus.
